The “Shoes” book cover

Graphic designer Catherine Guyer asked me to photograph a group of Chuck Taylor style converse shoes for an ASCD book cover on the topic of Differentiated Instruction. The concept here was to show the many differences and highlight them together, just as a classroom is made up of students with many different learning styles.

Weekend at Grandpa’s

We visited my father at his home in Patrick County, Virginia this weekend. We had a lot of fun on the firing range, then off for pizza and antiquing in the town of Stuart.

M turned out to be a very good marksman, shooting half inch groups at 100 yards with the Ruger M-77 in .223.

Beach Weekend in Charleston

We visited Grandma and PaPa at Folly beach in Charleston SC for a quick weekend. Lots (and lots!) of driving but we all had a great time!
